"KABO- CHAN, a Japan manufactured humanoid robot, has been adopted by the Welfare Council's residential care homes for elderly since early 2016 to facilitate therapeutic work with residents suffering from mid to late stage cognitive impairment, to improve their emotion and enhance their connectedness with people and environment. Findings of a systemative research recently conducted on effectiveness of Kabo-Chan, and the practice wisdom in using this technology will be shared.
